Hello, Wednesday. Fancy seeing you today! I really enjoyed my reading this morning, as I do every day. Today, Napoleon was talking about the land that we live in and how abundance it is, and how truly blessed we are to be a part of it. Take a second and think about a few things, if you would. Let’s start with food. The book uses the example of a family in New York that eats toast and eggs, and drinks tea and grape juice for less than a dollar per day per person. Truth is, we live in a land with incredibly tasty food that you can find as cheap as you need it. You can’t find that combo everywhere. The book then talks about shelter and clothing. Once again, this great nation has provided us with the ability to live in great places and be comforted by the clothes it provides.
Napoleon continues to drive home this concept talking about the fact that we can drive from state to state without a passport. You can’t get that in other parts of the world. We also have automobile transportation that is second to very few. Through cars, trains, buses and much more, we really can get anywhere at any time. We also have strong security rights, where we are able to put large amounts of money into a bank where the government will protect it. In many parts of the country, we are able to walk up and down the street without our lives being threatened. For the most part, life is very peaceful in this great land.
I remember reading once in Earl Nightengales’ “The Strangest Secret”, that the United States is the most abundant land on the planet, and that he could never understand how someone could fail long term in such an abundant land. If you think about it logically, we must have done something right when we were up in heaven to have been chosen to go down to this part of the world. Once again, we are blessed people. We really are. There are so many things that this great nation provides for us every day that we take for granted. I am proud to be an American and being able to enjoy the land of the free and the home of the brave. May we continually give back to this great nation and all that it provides.
