Hello, Wednesday! Here we come! Getting it! As I have said a time or two before in this blog, one of the main reasons I write it is to hold myself accountable to doing it every single day. And I have stuck to that almost perfectly. But I will tell you that every once in a while, I don’t get it done. No excuses. I just don’t. In today’s chapter it talks about the 6-minute miracle morning. I would not recommend that you make a habit of this. But I would recommend using it when you have to.
Minute 1: Envision yourself waking up peacefully in the morning, with a huge smile on your face. Instead of rushing to start your day, sit there quietly, in purposeful silence. Breathe deeply, and say a prayer of gratitude. Calm your mind, relax your body, and be in the moment.
Minute 2: Pull out your daily affirmations and read them. From top to bottom. Look over what you are committed to and what your purposes are. Remind yourself of what is important.
Minute 3: Close your eyes and visualize your goals and affirmations and how they will feel when you accomplish them.
Minute 4: Take some time to write down what you are proud of and what you are committed to do during that day.
Minute 5: Read one or two pages of a self-development book. Learn a new idea or concept and decide how you are going to implement it that day.
Minute 6: Stand up and move your body. Do something that is high in intensity for 60 seconds.
Again, I would not recommend you doing this practice every single day. However, I really do think this is so much more effective than not doing anything at all. We have a few more chapters left in “The Miracle Morning”. I was giving a training yesterday in Tucson, Arizona and in that training I was asked which books the group should start reading first. Although there are so many books that have changed the way I think and act, “The Miracle Morning” is where you should begin because it specifically teaches you exactly what you should do to maximize the most vital time of the day and that is the morning. THIS SHIZ WORKS! I promise you it does. I have seen these concepts influence the life of so many people that I work and associate with. It has changed my life, the life of my kids, and now is starting to change the life of my wife. Get up early and dominate the world!
