As we wrap up Jack Canfield’s amazing book that we have discussed over the last several months, I wanted to point out some of my favorite principles from the book before we move onto the next. The first principle I wanted to talk about is that successful people are positive people. If you think that you are going to have true happiness in life by a having a negative attitude, you are absolutely crazy. Negativity is a vicious cycle that will lead to bitterness and scarcity. You will have a scarcity of love. You will have a scarcity of excitement in your life. You will have scarcity of advancement and opportunity. Be happy. Find good in all things. Be the type of person that people can come to be lifted up. It will change your life.

The second principle is taking the time to self-reflect to build self-confidence and respect. Remember that you cannot be a bad ass on the outside, until you are one on the inside first. Remember to take time every night to go over that day’s accomplishments. Spend time in the mirror telling yourself all the great things you were able to do that day. As you go throughout your day, push to be the best person you can be. At the end of each day, be able to lay in your bed, regretting nothing. Why? Because you gave it everything you had, to be the best version of you. Remember YOU CAN DO GREAT THINGS! You are capable of taking over the world. You are capable of doing things that the rest of the world talks about for a long time to come. But, it starts with confidence within.

The third principle, if you want to be a true leader in this world, is to be a man/woman of integrity. When you are alone, and no one is watching, what kind of person are you? What type of decisions do you make? Survey upon survey has been done about what people look for in leaders and at the top of every list for the passed 25 years, “being a person of integrity” is number one. Be a person who has great character, is honest, trustworthy, loyal, and stands for what right. Never waiver.

Influence comes from trust. The more influence you have, the more financially free and happy you will be.

Finally, the last principle, love life. Surround yourself with the people you love, the job you love, and the activities that you love. Life is too damn short to get caught up in stress and pain. You are going to pass through trials, everyone knows this. Except it as a part of life. But, blast through those trials with a smile on your face. Blast through those trials with the desire to learn. Get up when you have been knocked down; get back up, and keep moving forward. Enjoy the journey while it is happening. Don’t wait until you get to your ‘destination’ to start enjoying how amazing life is. Be grateful and never stop giving. Life is so so so good, so let’s freaking love the hell out of it!

Yours truly,
