Happy freaking Wednesday! Get it! Today, we continue to talk about the different steps to building your self-image. I want to begin by reminding you that without a powerful self-image, there is a zero percent chance for you to accomplish life to it’s full capacity. In fact, plan on living a very average life, at best.

  1. Add Value to Others – We have talked about this concept over and over again, and with good reason. In this day and age, it is easy to become selfish and self-protective because that is the mode we think we need to be in to survive. But as we have said before, one of the VERY best ways to add value to yourself is by adding value to others. Giving, sharing, loving, and serving. Making a difference, even if it is small, will absolutely increase your self-worth.
  1. Do The Right Thing, Even If It Is the Hard Thing – I believe that this has become a lost art in today’s society. People making the wrong decisions because they are the easy, short way out. One of the best ways to increase your self-worth is to do what is right. It will give you a strong sense of satisfaction. And what happens when you don’t do the right thing? You either feel guilt or you feel bad about yourself. Then you try and convince yourself that your actions were not wrong. its a vicious cycle.

Being true to yourself and your values is a tremendous self-esteem builder. Positive character will expand into every area of your life.

  1. Practice A Small Discipline Daily in A Specific Area of Your Life – Once again, one of my favorite topics to talk about. “Motivation gets you going, but self-discipline keeps you growing.” Like I have said a million times in a million different blogs, and will continue to say it for as long as you will let me, ‘work on yourself every single day.’  Work on being a better friend. Work on being a better husband, son, dad, and brother. Work on being healthier. Work on being more spiritually sound. Work on increasing your capacity to do and think. Work on your financial goals. Seek to grow a little every single day.

I hear comments over and over and over again about how people’s lives changed starting with 15 minutes a day. There are still some of you who read this blog and call it your power hour. I am glad you are taking the time to read, but you cannot build a foundation of growth and success, riding the coat tails of someone else’s daily routine. Eventually, you have to spread your wings and jump. Freaking jump! So, once again, if you haven’t started to begin your quest of daily self development, today is the day. Set aside at least 30 minutes a day to pick up a self-development book and start changing your life. The world awaits you. Go after it! Go create it!

Yours truly,

just trying to keep up, Cram
