It doesn’t get any better than Friday.  Today, we continue to talk about how to write your story of life the right way.

2. Put significance in your story- “Almost everyone wants to live a life of meaning and significance, whether or not they express the desire.”  To put significance into our story, one of the main keys is to live outside of our comfort zone.  Which mean that we are going to need to make some changes that are difficult.  I love this topic of doing hard things.  I have learned in life that if you are not constantly doing hard things, you are not growing.  Growth is hard!  We often avoid trying to make the hard changes.

“But know this; though not everything that we face can be changed, nothing can be changed until we face it.”

I really feel the need to expound on that last quote.  How often do we live the law of insanity?  How often do we expect to sale more accounts, but we aren’t willing to knock extra doors?  Or change our pitch a little bit?  How often do we look like crap in the mirror because once again we pushed snooze on our alarm?  How often do we not get that promotion because we choose to do simply to do what is expected at work, and not go above and beyond?  How often do we sit and pout at our results, but we aren’t doing shit to fix them?  Sorry for being so bold, but I will never understand a person that sits and complains about life, but yet has not a single plan of action to fix it.

To put significance in our lives we must take action.  “We cannot wait, and hope, and wish, but if we do, we miss the stories our lives could be.”  Do not allow your fears and questions to keep you from starting.  Once again, there is not an ideal time.  The time to take the leap of faith is NOW!  I will continue to preach for the rest of time that life is meant to be simple, but it is us that complicates the hell out of it.  Wake up early, work harder, live in the moment, go after everything 10X, have a schedule, tell people you love them often, and the list goes on.  But there is nothing on that list that anyone can sit here and tell me that they can’t or don’t have the time to do.  B freaking S.  If it is important to you, there is enough time to do it.  If you are not doing it, stop saying that it’s important but you just don’t have the time to make it happen.

Life is good, people!  Maximize the shiz out of it!

Yours truly,
taking chances, Cram
