My goodness, it is Friday! We move onto the final question you should be asking yourself when it comes to knowing your passion and your purpose.
- What Will It Be Like When You Get to Do What You Would Like to Do? When the Maxwell describes what it has felt like for him over the last several years to be able to follow his passion, he says “it will feel different than what you imagined. I never thought I would effect as many people as I do. I never knew life would be so beautiful.”
When you do what you want to do, it will be more difficult than you ever imagined. It takes a lot of time to be effective. There will be great demands, which will be placed on your life. The road to the top will be lonely sometimes. There will still be plenty of times where you will want to quit and give up on your passion and your dream, even when you are in the middle of living it.
However, let me tell you this, when you do what you want to do, it will be better than you have ever imagined. Mark Twain once said, which is one of my favorite quotes,
The two greatest days in a [person’s] life is the day they were born and the day they realized why.
Investing in your own personal growth will open up doors you have never even dreamed of. Searching and finding your passion and then working every day to live it will change the course of your entire life.
I feel like I truly found my passion about 6 years ago. The thing is, at that point, I had already been helping to build DishOne for four years. But, I hadn’t really begun to understand my purpose. Yet, 6 years ago, I started to invest in myself. I started to wake up every morning and live the principles that I teach today. Then that is when it began; That is when I truly began to understand why the good man above put me on this earth. By investing in myself, I began to understand my true role as a dad. Which to be quite honest with you, is one of the greatest gifts God has given to me. I began to understand why I worked at DishOne; to give ordinary guys like me the same opportunity that I was given 14 years ago.
Plus, I get to bless their lives with principles that will last forever.
I started to better understand my role as a friend, a son, a husband, a brother, and the list goes on.
My good friends, an endless amount of success and happiness awaits you. Now it is simply the time to go and do. Go and be. Go and love. Go and fight. Go and fail. But, at the end of the day, go and succeed. Be who you want to be!
Loving who I am becoming, Cram
