One thing that I have learned about Friday is that it is literally the perfect day to take over the world. So, I left my blog book on my last flight and am therefore, waiting for the new one to come in. In the mean time, we will find a way to keep the blog interesting. I just finished up my trip to the Springfield, MO office where I had the opportunity to once again spend time with some of the most inspirational people on the planet. It is always amazing for me to hear the stories of each of the reps and to dig into their purposes in life. Without sharing names, I would still like to share why these guys inspire me so much.
One rep is 19, lost his dad and his brother less than a year ago, and has a mom that will need a new kidney soon and he is out selling to make enough money to help her.
One rep told me that he was going no where in life. He was living off his mom and decided it was time to go be a man, and so he left on a moments notice to sell.
One rep was told all growing up that she was a screw up and that she needed to be so much more like her siblings. Her biggest purpose for being out there selling is to prove to her parents that she is important too.
One rep literally hitch-hiked and walked from Utah to Florida to go visit one his kids. Through that experience, he has come to know who he really is and the capabilities that he has.
One rep basically was asked to support herself since an early age. She has fought through addiction, abandonment and more. And yet, she still stands.
Others have left their girlfriends, family members, the comfort of their home, and much more to knock doors. Why? You might ask. Because they are in search of making their lives better as they take care of others.
What sacrifices are you making to do something great? Great things in life, NEVER come easy! Since you started reading this blog, what specific changes have you made? Do you sleep less and study more? Do you watch TV or play video games less and exercise more? Do you spend less time on Facebook and more time cultivating relationships? Do you take time to have an attitude of gratitude? If a 19 year old kid can jump in a car with nothing but courage and a dream for a better life, what are we capable of doing?
I just wanted to say thank you to all the sales reps of the Springfield, MO office. You have inspired and edified me. And now, I pray that you will be able to fulfill your purpose. It won’t be easy by any stretch of the imagination. But, it WILL BE worth it!
truly grateful, Cram
