My good peeps. Today’s blog is going to be a little bit different than normal. My heart is very heavy today with the passing of a very dear friend. With this passing, it has brought many hours of personal reflection. Why?┬áBecause life is too short, and you never know when it is going to be your turn. So today, I wanted to take a minute to express gratitude. I apologize if today is a waste of your read, but I promised myself that I would always write what was on my mind and in my heart.

Today, just as much as ever before, my heart is filled with gratitude. So let me begin with all of you. I am thankful for the 500 band of brothers and sisters that call themselves DishOne. We, deep down, are just a bunch of ordinary kids that get each other to do extraordinary things. We come together to learn, uplift, and inspire. We stand together even in the light of deaths and tragedy because we are friends. And that is what I am the most thankful for. That I can call you my friends.

I am so thankful for the little things. Two healthy knees and a functioning body. I am thankful that I have a job that stretches the crap out of me. I am thankful for the land that we live in. I am thankful for the air that we breath, and the neighborhood I am a part of. I am thankful for a God who knows us all. I am thankful for a home, food, and cars that function. I am thankful the pictures that hang on my wall and remind me of who I am, what I stand for, and where I have been.

I am thankful for trials in life, for they ONLY make us stronger. I am thankful for the ability to think, act, and speak without hesitation or limitation.

I am thankful to be alive and be free and most of all, I am thankful for my family. My parents in whom I owe my life to. My sisters who have always stood by me. My wife, bless her soul, married a tough one. And she rocks the shit out of it! I am thankful for my gift to be her husband. My kids, well…take my arms or legs, and life still goes on. Take my kids, and there is very little left. I am so thankful for my calling to be a dad and a step dad. It soothes my soul every day. Its what gets me up in the morning. Seeing them happy and working towards being great people, drives me more than anything.

My good friends, life is too short. So you might as well dominate it! You might as well go after everything with everything you have got. Because that is what God put us here to do and you just never know when it will be over. So today, love harder than you have ever loved before. Work harder than you have ever worked before. Dream larger than you have ever dreamed before. Be the best YOU that you can possibly be. Today and everyday, make it freaking rain!

Yours truly,

Heart heavy, Cram
