Yo Tuesday, speak the good word. We are about to take you over! Today, we continue to talk about the different things we can be doing to find like-minded people in our lives:
4. The faith factor- Do you live in fear or do you live in faith? “Fear is the most prevalent reason why people stop. Faith is what makes people start.” Fear will lock up the door to the resources you need in life to maximize your success. Faith will unlock those doors. I just read something this morning that really stuck out to me; “Don’t feed fear with time.” I have talked about this concept a time or two before. If something scares you, blast through it. The longer you wait to make that tough phone call, the longer you lay in your bed on that soft pillow, and the longer you wait to knock that first door, the stronger the fear comes and the harder it is to blast though it.
I believe that many of the things we choose not to do in life are tied to some type of fear. We may not go to the gym because we are afraid that the hard work won’t equal lost weight or muscle mass gain. We may not work our hardest on the job because we are afraid it won’t be rewarded with a promotion or a raise. We may not ask a girl out because we are afraid of rejection. If you fit into the category of what I am describing right now, then it is time for you to read the book, “Failing Forward.” What good does it do for you to be fearful? What do you have to lose if you just go into everything with faith?
I really dislike it when I hear the term, “I am just trying to not get my hopes up.” What the hell are you talking about? Talk about the worst thing you can do. The fastest way you will not get what you want in life is to not get your hopes up for it. I spend my entire life getting my hopes up. I get my hopes up every freaking day that my wife and kids will love me more, that my relationships with my friends will become stronger, that my bank account will grow larger, that God will be prouder of me, that my health will be greater, and that I can influence more people. And then, I attack the hell out of it! Leaving nothing to chance! I want to leave a challenge with everyone on this thread. Go through today blasting through your fears! I promise you that if you do, you might not have a perfect day, but the end results will smash what it would have been had you went through the day with “not getting your hopes up”.
Getting my hopes up, Cram
