Welcome to Wednesday. I love how real it gets on a Wednesday. Time to dominate the world. Today the author starts to talk about two times in his life where he hit rock bottom. One is when he was hit head on by a drunk driver and nearly died. He talks about the road back to recovery and how hard it was. The second time was when the economy crashed and he lost a lot of what he had built over the last several years. He describes waking up one of the mornings after the economy crash, very depressed. But he decided to take one of his friend’s advice and go take a run to clear his head. His friend had told him that every time he gets stressed or overwhelmed, he goes for a run. It helps him think more clearly, it lifts his spirits, and it helped him come up with solutions to his problems.

When his friend had mentioned to him his idea, the author responded, “I hate running.” And his friend in return said, “What do you hate more, running or your current life situation?” He describes himself at that point in his life as desperate, with really nothing to lose. So he went for the run. During the course of the run, he listened to an audio by Jim Rohn. In his audio Jim stated,

Your level of success, will rarely exceed your level of personal development, because success is something you attract by the person you become.

The author stopped dead in his tracks to digest what he had just heard. It was those words, and that run, and the decision at that point to change his life that brought him to where he is today. A very well-known author, who has everything he needs and wants financially, a beautiful wife and kids, and happiness.

Most importantly, he has happiness.

Now think about this scenario for a second. The author had hit rock bottom. He could not drop any further. He was depressed and feeling sorry for himself. And in that moment, he had two choices; sink or swim. Get up or keep falling. Keep going, or give up. Life is going to punch you right between the eyes on numerous occasions. Life isn’t going to send us success, just because we are good people. That is like asking a bull not to pounce on you because you are a vegetarian.

Life is always going to come at you quick and hard. But the good news is that you always have two choices; sink or swim. And it all goes back to the same old thing, whether you sleep in for another hour or you get up and self-develop for an hour, they both take the same amount of time. But one…will change your life. One will bring you happiness and success beyond your imagination. And one…well, it will ruin your life. Get up, get to work, and be happy!

Life is good!!

Yours truly,
