Today is Tuesday, baby!! Why not smash the shiiii out of it? Today Mr C talks about his next principle, which is to go the extra mile. Bottom line is that it’s not very crowded along the road to the extra mile. As we have talked about before, too many people in this world are ok with being average. Average is comfortable. Average doesn’t seem to carry much risk. Are you the type that is complacent with average? Average income? Average health? Average motivation? Average father? Average friend? Average lover? Average person? Or are you the type to overachieve, exceed expectations and get shiz done without even being asked?

Almost by force of habit, successful people do more. As a result, they not only experience greater financial rewards for their extra efforts, but also a personal transformation. Becoming more self-confident, self-reliant, and more influential with those around them. So why go the extra mile? Its simple. When you do more than is expected, you are more likely to receive promotions, raises, bonuses, and extra benefits. You will never have to worry about job security. You will always be the first hired, and the last fired. You will feel more satisfied at the end of each day, but you have to start now for the rewards to begin appearing.

Give something above and beyond what is expected. Always do more than what is required. A business that goes the extra mile earns the respect, loyalty and referrals of their customers. The same thing can be said about all aspects of life. Do you really think that your children don’t notice when you go the extra mile with them? Do you really think your boss can’t tell if you are the type of employee that goes above and beyond for the betterment of the company? I can give you a list today of those in my life that are men and woman that go the extra mile. Those are the same people that are my heroes, my mentors, and are leaders that have made a difference in my life. Every last one of them are successful and happy. Just try it!! Begin to go above and beyond in everything you do and watch what happens. See the instant effect it will have in your life and in the life of others. Life is good on extra mile road.
