Wouldn’t it be sick if facts were to show that Tuesday is the greatest day of the week for success? Let’s make that shiz happen! Life is good! Today we talk about change. And how change is possible, although many people in this world avoid it like the plague. “I am wired to be unhappy.” “You can’t teach an old dog new tricks.” “Some people are just born cynical and never change.”
Too many times our potential is biologically fixed.
Once our brain reaches maturity, it’s pointless to try and change it. “Without the ability to make a lasting positive change, a book like The Happiness Advantage would be a cruel joke.” The book would be great for those that are “born happy”, but a complete waste for those that aren’t.
“The belief that we are just our genes is one of the most pernicious myths in modern culture. The insidious notion that people come into the world with a fixed set of abilities and that they, and their brains, cannot change.” A few years back, some researchers began discovering tracks of what they claimed was a mythical chimera. Studies started to show that the brain can change depending on how you live your life. Our brains change in response to our actions and our circumstances.
So if a change is possible, how long can it last? The simple answer is that it will last as long as you practice the principles. Over the course of the next few months, we will go over the basic principles that the author recommends. But here is what I know without digging into the further detail of the book. If you want to be happy, you have to be on the move. You have to be constantly adapting and being willing to change. You have to always think of how you can make good even better. You have to focus on how you can maximize time with your kids, how you can make more money, how you can save more money; how you can lose weight faster, how you can increase more long-lasting relationships, and how you can simply become better every day.
I have used this pitch 10,000 times, and I will use it again. Getting better everyday=fulfillment=happiness=success. I truly believe that the fastest way you can change your mood from sad to glad, is by going to work. And once you get to work, be a better version of yourself every day more. As you do that, watch how joyful your life will become and how fast you get there.
